v1.15: Experimental: Generate uncompressed snapshots

Compressing the database may take an inordinate amount of time when creating snapshots. v1.15 adds a new instance option that skips the compression step during snapshot creation.

This may significantly speed up the process, at the cost of much bigger snapshot files.
