Is there any roadmap or schedule that provides information about when to expect an update regarding this issue? I mean PHP 8.1 will arrive soon.

Support for PHP 8 was merged in https://github.com/mgdm/Mosquitto-PHP/tree/php8. I have a patch ready for 8.1 as well. I will submit a pull request soon for that.

Use docker image php:8.1-fpm
How to compile or install it?
