When I enable dash-to-dock 71 on GNOME 41.1 on Manjaro, the dock shifts right down to the bottom of the screen, removing the little gap that is usually there. Is this intended behaviour?

Check if in settings -> appearance, the option shrink the dash in activated, this option removes the gap.

Visual representation of what I mean:

Without dash-to-dock
Dash-to-dock disabled

With "shrink the dash" disabled
Shrink dock disabled

With "shrink the dash" enabled
Shrink dock enabled

Shrink the dash removes a much smaller gap. Dash-to-dock removes a large one.

It appears that's what @vinceliuice was addressing with ewlsh#4
