It seems depth based LSR places the focus point behind the camera; this probably does not help with hologram stabilization and also breaks mixed reality captures - the holograms are not visible.

Sorry, my uncertain advice. I hope that it is hint. I feel "holoJsAppView->WorldOriginRelativePosition = Windows::Foundation::Numerics::float3(0, 0, -2);" in app.cpp is bad by any Hololens OS bug, though I can't have verified it with my current busy. We may put object on z position adding +2.0 without changing WorldOriginRelativePosition, or is the value of -2.0 incorrect?
