PowerRename not working #14265

Microsoft PowerToys version

0.49.1

Running as admin

PowerRename

Steps to reproduce

PowerRenama was running perfectly for me until the new user interface was introduced.

  1. Select files
  2. Right click and choose PoweRename
  3. PowerRename opens for a few seconds
  4. Crashes

This is also happening to me even with one file selelected.

✔️ Expected Behavior

PowerRename launch and function properly as usual

❌ Actual Behavior

PowerRename launches for a few seconds then crashes

@rara0909 Could you the fix mentioned in the #14076 (installing Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable) and let us now if it works for you?

@rara0909 Could you the fix mentioned in the #14076 (installing Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable) and let us now if it works for you?

I tried it. PowerRename opened for a few seconds longer like 5 or 10 seconds more but the window was frozen and crashed after 5 or 10 seconds.

Same Bug.

You can solve this problem temporarily by moving files in one folder
Not a folder within a folder.
