📝 Folder Merge

combines the contents of two or more folders into one new folder/folder structure. It compares the files for date, size, content and so on and based on the user set options will place only one version of each file in the new folder/folder structure. The older folders and contents are zipped and saved to a user set location with folder name appended with date and user notes as insurance:)

The problem Folder Merge will solve for me (and many others I suspect) is that over the last 25 years I have collected and created a lot (1000s) of texture images, PDFs, XLSs,DOCs, CAD blocks and similar resources for my architectural work, a lot of these files have been further edited over that time resulting in several versions of each. I have at least half a dozen master folders that have all or part of the same or similar files in them, I'm too frightened to delete anything and don't have the time to combine them using standard explorer tools, checking dates and size one at a time.
