All tasks related to migrating our work from Microsoft-internal systems to GitHub.

Build System

• CMakeLists.txt: build non-Desktop flavors of binaries #161
• CMakeLists.txt: build mixed mode and pure mode flavors of the libraries #162
• Make ARM64EC built on GitHub #2310
• Port DLL export validation from MSBuild to CMake. (Or switch to .def.)
• Change the MSVC-internal MSBuild build system to invoke the STL's CMake build system.
• Delete stl/msbuild and celebrate!

Tests

• Finish migrating src/qa/VC/Libs/vcr/tests/cpp/Dev09_171913_tr1_windows_h_macros
  • And resolve Microsoft-internal VSO-936680
• tests: Enable /clr coverage #797
• tests: Enable /clr:pure coverage #798
• Run tests for ARM/ARM64 #820

Documentation

• Write Contribution Guidelines.
• Drop the Roadmap.

Issues

• Finish migrating bugs.
  • As of 2024-05-28: 107 bugs remain.
• Create bugs for vNext overhauls, collecting DevCom/VSO bugs (tagged vclibs-wcfb02) that were closed in the pre-GitHub Team Foundation Version Control vNext era.
• Finish migrating todo.docx to enhancement issues.
  • As of 2024-05-28: 5 pages remain.
• Migrate lwg_issues_to_file.docx to LWG issue needed issues.
  • As of 2024-05-28: 2.5 pages remain.
• Migrate stl_requested_bugs.docx somewhere (possibly the STL Wiki).
• Change VSO comments to GitHub issues #2271

• Migrated status.xlsx to microsoft.github.io/STL/, powered by Chart.js.
• GitHub: Create releases for VS 2019 16.5 and beyond #386
• tests/std: Harness CUDA/NVCC #639
• Port DevCom bugs to GitHub #939
• Switched the internal build to use boost-math standalone:
  • remove vcpkg in favor of boostorg/math standalone #2151
  • update boost-math and fix std::ellint_2 #3077 (also migrated a Special Math test)
• Migrated tests from vcr/tests/cpp to std:
  • gcd/lcm test from internal repo with questionable bits extracted #2507
• Unified libcxx's expected_results.txt and skipped_tests.txt:
  • React to internal test improvements #3484
