Defender WSL Plugin for Windows Server

So with the previews of Microsoft Connected Cache with is running on WSL2, and for Enterprises a server installation is the best option.
I like to see that the WSL plugin for Defender also can be used on the Windows server OS (Now only Windows 10 and 11 is supported)

How to collect WSL logs

Download and execute collect-wsl-logs.ps1 in an administrative powershell prompt:

Invoke-WebRequest -UseBasicParsing "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/microsoft/WSL/master/diagnostics/collect-wsl-logs.ps1" -OutFile collect-wsl-logs.ps1
Set-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Scope Process -Force
.\collect-wsl-logs.ps1

The script will output the path of the log file once done.

If this is a networking issue, please use collect-networking-logs.ps1, following the instructions here

Once completed please upload the output files to this Github issue.

I am just curious, @IntuneAdmin, is this an issue of official support or are you running into an issue with getting the WSL working on Windows Server? Which Windows Server versions (2022, 2025, etc.) would you like to see supported?
