Starting the terminal (Ctrl-\-\) yields a dysfunctional terminal with blinking cursor but no response when typing. Re-install did not help.

Visual studio 16.8 comes with a fully functional terminal built in already. I'd recommend using that one instead.

I need my history back. Does anybody know where the "bash history" is stored at?

Thanks

Well, unfortunately the new terminal doesn't support all features that whack whack does, like setting a font.

Update:
My bad, it actually does in the Visual Studio option category Environment -> Fonts and Colors

@ZoeyR thanks for writing such an awesome extension until Visual Studio got their act together!
