new search only reference uploaded files

Hi folks
I uploaded a couple of files in chat and have my search index. I understand that uploading a file disables the extension option for the current chat.
But now, all my new chats, including the ones initiated from an extension, are only returning citations from the files uploaded.

Is there a way to delete the uploaded files? also what could be causing this issue?
