How do I refresh/update my .exe file, while usind c# dev kit

So Im making a multitool for a webhook in discord and I noticed that even if I do Ctrl. S, the .exe file continues as if nothing has changed. I have been trying to run and debug to see if it updates the .exe, but when I try to debug it appears a message saying "No C# project is currently loaded. Please create a C# project in order to debug" while this project its a "console app" what do I do? (I know it looks a dumb question, Im sorry it's my first day using VCs and C#).
