I also don't get the notification later in the Python 3 steps.

Do I need a specific version of the Python extension?

Hi @aeschli, sorry about that, Insiders broke. Can you try again with the following build: https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-python/suites/3575138020/artifacts/85925936
