Type: Bug

Bug
In the select Python interpreter UI, my super old python 2.7 environment is listed as recommended with a big star next to it

Screenshot 2023-01-25 at 4 50 54 PM

Selecting this python results in a very poor user experience as many features break

Should old environments like this ever be recommended? Should we perhaps even warn against selecting them?

Agreed. Although if we're going to have a warning sign, we would've to then explain the warning (adding prompts, making sure they don't conflict etc.), which does not seem worth it as we've not seen issues related to such. So putting that on hold.
