I have this bugged behavior and I can't get rid of the alert that appears every time I launch Code. The alert text looks like this

The macOS system install of Python is not recommended, some functionality in the extension will
be limited. Install another version of Python for the best experience.

I type Command-Shift-P and then select Python: Select Interpreter, select a sub project and then select python 2.7. I do this for every sub project in my work space. Quit and then reopen my project then this harassing alert appears. What do I do to get rid of it. I cannot update to a later version of Python I'm stuck on 2.7 for about 4 to 6 months. Please help. TY
