This plan captures our work on the Remote development extensions in October. We follow the same iteration cycle as VS Code. Although we plan for a whole iteration, we not only ship at the end of an iteration but throughout.
This is our annual housekeeping iteration. If you are interested in why we have issue house keeping iterations and in our general philosophy around issue management, then we have this write-up for you.
House-keeping is not the only focus this iteration. We'll also work closely with our partners at GitHub to get GitHub Codespaces in great shape.
Update: The work on codespaces is more involved than we originally anticipated. Most of us didn't make the progress that you usually see in our house-keeping iterations.
It says "Cannot install 'Remote - SSH' because this extension has defined that it cannot run on the remote server."
In your comment "We'll also work closely with our partners at GitHub to get GitHub Codespaces in great shape.",
does that mean we'll be able to install/use the plugin after the October release?

Dev container networking issues: it can't continue in such a way further - Users have no basic understanding of Docker networking.
Unfortunately, there is no Docker networking for dummies. Development container has to be either started as an isolated container Isolated container or the user has to get a basic understanding of how Docker networking works. I found a short explanation Docker networking in brief without any credits to me. There is no one-pager for this topic. Every solution has its own documentation like bridge network. Disclaimer: a total of 10 days read and understand.
