Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes/No

  • VS Code Version: Latest Insiders
  • OS Version: N/A

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create an notebook
  2. Make changes to a cell
  3. View the diff

There's a large separator between the modified and original cells.

This is a new feature from #206808 :

If you really want, I can disable that for notebook diff editors, but I think it is a nice feature.
