Issue Type: Feature Request

When working on significantly large number of files, i often use RegEx expressions to search the code. And when i do it multiple times, i need to be able to see my past queries like a dropdown. Saves so much time in writing that expression all over again.

I believe Notepad++ already has it

VS Code version: Code 1.27.2 (f46c4c4, 2018-09-12T16:17:45.060Z)

You can navigate history with the up/down arrows, but we have #23099 for UX like a dropdown
