Extensions can't currently render text like "recently opened" here, but it'd be nice if we could.

This was raised in #75236 and taken as a feature request, but the OP closed it, so here's a new request (cc @chrmarti) :-)

That looks like something different (separators rather than additional info about the existing item), though I would love that too (I have a device-picker that includes both active devices and offline emulators that you can launch, and they're somewhat mixed together). It's not clear what that issue is though, it references another issue that was closed as a dupe without an obvious issue that covered it.

This would be a change that would need to happen in Core first as the text you've pointed out is actually coming from a QuickPickSeparator label.
