The same issue happened to me, in addition, JS Intellisence is not working with this extension enabled! @mjbvz Disabling this extension temporarily would allow JS Intellisence to work again until this bug is fixed!

The same issue happened to me.
Here, I have two solutions.
1.Install an older version.
2.Uninstall all plug-ins.

Does this reproduce in the latest VS Code insiders build with all extensions disabled?

@mjbvz
The same issues happened to me

Below is my info about this issues

  • VSCode Version: 1.41.1
  • OS Version: Windows 10 pro

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Disable all installed extensions
  2. Disable TypeScript and JavaScript Language Features(Built-in)
  3. Enable TypeScript and JavaScript Language Features(Built-in)

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

When I enable TS and JS Language Features(built-in extensions), I can't use JS Intellisense and HTML Intellisense at all in javascript files(.js). This is annoying when using react that need both JS and HTML Intellisense

EDIT(Jan, 9, 2020 edited): This issue happened to me since version 1.41.0

Closing as we need more information from the original poster

@Kang-Jh Your issue is possibly microsoft/TypeScript#35512 which should be fixed in VS Code insiders
