Better explanation/justification for closing:

After some discussion in the Mihon server about this, only a handful of sites do markdown, so it's a niche thing to support markdowns in general for descriptions (dev also agreed on not supporting it)

• If it's just allowing markdown to show up in description, seems like an easy way to bog up/bloat while searching in my opinion
• If it's like how I thought about it, allowing edit to description with markdown, I think it would be better to just do Manga Notes (Add Manga Notes #428) or nab the custom edit info from SY instead

I was thinking more of the sources that has alternative titles in the description tbh, then editing the code on the extension to add markdown to the alternative titles sections.
it would me much easier to identify the start of the alternative titles if there was a markdown support on it, but I get your and the devs point as well
