Is miniflux being smart about feed content?

I am trying to make use out of the Nextcloud Activity RSS-feed and hunt bugs (there are plenty). However, I came across an issue which I am unsure where to put. Here is the story:

Shortly after another both marc and felix edited a certain file (screenshots of the Nextcloud Activity app view - in German, sorry):

The feed provided by the Nextcloud Activity app also shows those entries separately:

Now here is the output of Miniflux v2.0.51 of that very feed:

I wonder whether Miniflux really detects and merges those two feed items? I am not at all complaining about the behaviour of that opinionated piece of free software, but I sort of doubt that such a feature is really implemented in a feed reader. So if it does fiddle with the content of a feed, then it is not very helpful for me with hunting bugs in the feed software lol.

Miniflux doesn't merge anything. I can see that the <link> tag has the same value for both entries but in theory in should not be a problem because the <guid> is different.

The best solution is to enable the debug mode, and take a close look at the source code to see what is happening exactly.
