The tutorial has at this time (4/13/24 PDT):

Obtain elevation data

If you already have raster DEM data, you can skip this step.

NASA published elevation data generated from NASA's Shuttle Radar Topography Mission
digital topographic data. We can use the data freely. SRTM elevation data can be downloaded
from the EarthExplorer (User registration required).

I've been having problems using this plugin, so I thought I would go through the tutorial and follow every step precisely in case I have encountered a bug.

Could someone please clarify which SRTM data set I should download?

USGS has four choices:

  1. SRTM 1 Arc-Second Global
  2. SRTM Non-Void Filled
  3. SRTM Void Filled
  4. SRTM Water Body Data

(I cannot seem to upload a screenshot of the USGS selector tree at this time.)

Which one(s) should I download?
