Is it (or would it be) possible to use this on GitHub issues instead of or in addition to PRs?

Is this still relevant? If so, what is blocking it? Is there anything you can do to help move it forward?

I think it's still relevant. Waiting for feedback from a core dev.

I don't currently use this bot, though I'd be interested in something similar. Or maybe a mapping (regex?) from content in the Issue's description to set labels. Though there maybe an existing probot app for that. I'll take a look and report back.
