#!/usr/bit/projects-shebang
#This repository is a collection of scripts and code in order to tie a toolchain to software projects contained within one file.
#One file should describe the code as well as the means to:
make -the project
compile -to binary
link -the libs
debug -the binary
install
env builtin-unit-testing
doc -generate documentation
#solution should range from simple shebang short-hand lines to fully preprocessed shebang (#!) markup
#alternatives researched:
-> polyglots: there are several ways to embed shell script into code, for example trimming the header or a section using sed before sending the pre-preprocessed file to compiler, with disadvantages that line numbers and syntax highlighting are no longer reliable
-> local script: destroys the concept of one file
-> adding markup to preprocessing - turning the files into a shell archive (this way you can embed the editing of relevant sections)
this last one can be an advanced polyglot, it may not fit to some editing/ide sensibilities
-> uuencoded script to be chained through an interpreter such as awk or sed hidden in symbolic #define-s, this is a sensible topic as the script is not visible, maybe an extract/insert call could help
