Stored loops as cue points #7574
Comments
Commented by: ferranpujolcamins If I understood it right, there is really very little overlap with both features. The loop recorder records audio that later maybe can be saved as a new file to the library. The only thing that may relate this with cue-loops is to set a default track-lengh loop to this saved files. |
Commented by: Be-ing It would be simple to program a controller script to start a loop at a hotcue point, but for that feature to be the most useful Mixxx would have to store the length of the loop in the database. I may want a loop starting at one point to be an 8 beat loop but a loop starting at another point to be a 32 beat loop. It would be annoying to have to manually adjust the loop length every time one of those cue points is used as a loop start point. |

Commented by: ferranpujolcamins I have a buggy naive implementation. The way it works is that if you set a hotcue while a loop is active, then you set a loop hotcue. |

Mixxx should allow the user to save the currently set loop as a cue point for later one-click recall. Much like Traktor and Serato both do.
