Months ago there was an information saying that CCK2 will reach its end of life in summer 2020. I'd like to ask if this date is still valid or if it's a final decision that any CCK2 config will no longer work with the next major update of the Firefox ESR version.

Furthermore I'd like to ask if the advanced Firefox configuration with a written config file (not CCK2 generated) will still be working after the next major release. At the moment we are using the CCK2 config to hide some menu elements (needs to be checked if it's still necessary), so it would be nice to know if a manual config file with similar content will work with upcoming browser versions if CCK2 is no longer supported.

I haven't been actively updating the CCK2, but if folks report problems that are easy to fix, I fix them. I will probably test to see if it works with ESR 78.

As far as advanced config files, they are still working in Firefox. We haven't removed support.
