Extracted from #8.

Package distribution metadata is currently migrated to Hatch, as uv build backend is still in preview (astral-sh/uv#8779). Once uv build backend is out of preview and considered stable, it could be used when performing the migration.

Support for it could be considered as an opt-in argument in the CLI (--build-backend uv) even if it is still in preview.
