Is post processing available. Could it be?

I'm coming from Juice/Ipodder world (it is time to move on!) where I could specify a command to be executed after an enclosure download. I have a script to do volume normalization, rename the file, so that our community radio station software knows were to find it, etc. It would be nice to include a line in the config file like:

 externalcommand=/home/joe/podcasts/postporcessing.sh %_title_ %_feedname_

is this reasonable?

I would love to get an email in case of new downloads, which could also be implemented as part of a post processing step...

I too would appreciate this feature, to call a script that normalizes the audio on downloaded files.
