Not sure what browser versions do mocha intend to support.

Yes, good point, this is never explicitly stated in full on the README.md or https://mochajs.org. Searches for chrom and firef yield no relevant results. The only version range mentioned is:

> As of v10.0.0, Mocha requires Node.js v14.0.0 or newer.

Amusing.

My proposal would be to sync the timeline of browser support with Node.js support. As in, Mocha should support the versions of mainstream browser versions that were most current when the supported Node.js versions were released. Including data on the Node.js 14 (released April 21st, 2020) support equivalents from #5225 (comment):
