PSA:
If you are working on a HCP cluster like Stanford's Sherlock, there may the cluster loads packages like numpy and pandas using "modules". For some reason, these modules can be loaded by default and supercede the frameworks you install with miniconda. The way to fix this (on stanford's sherlock) is to ssh into your cluster and do:

module purge
module save

This unloads all non-basic modules and saves a new default.
