[UI] Improve text bubble allocation and time stamp #214
Comments
most of this is fixed in the current release, the lock fix is coming |
Actually I haven't seen the corrections at my colleagues friend screen really. But, it's fine, not a priority. |
Things have improved a lot. @Echolon do you think we could close this bug and file new bugs for the remaining issues (lock icon) to keep things focused. |
Hi, actually, no. I think not, at least not in a manner that shows the information less chaotic. You rather can add you UI request from today here I think. #343 In general older issues are prefered to new ones I would say |
Could you create a checklist of open issue in the issue description so it's clear which issues are open and which ones are done. |
See the pinned one? |
I think UI is not a priority at the moment |
Messages from MAM have known dates, which should be displayed too, even if content can't be decrypted. |
Hi @poormusic2001 , maybe, once you finished your current works, this could be something to work on, if you find motivation. Maybe also see the open issues linked here. |
Hi XMPP-folks,
just check-out my suggestion for the monal chat window.
EDIT: I reallocated the pictures to improve comparing both.
This is the current allocation of time stamp and delivery status (on the left and right) and I saw it at a friends phone and thought its pretty chaotic. In the right picture is what I would suggest to tidy up a little bit:
I also added a small corner-angle connecting line, to link the information with the bubble.
In the last message I tested how ticks would look like. I personally prefer the text-based status, because it is more clear what's acutally happening. One arrow could mean anything but not just 'Delivered' in the XMPP galaxy.
Please treat this as low-priority (reagrding OMEMO, push & MAM). However, would be happy to so see something in the master one day!
Cheers
