The Adorable.io avatar API has been closed down: itsthatguy/avatars-api-middleware#108 (comment)

An easy solution is to switch the URL to https://api.hello-avatar.com/adorables/

An alternative solution could be to package adorable-avatars with the project, or to use another service like https://avatars.dicebear.com/
