In addition it would be useful if, instead of the static manner in which tabs are currently selected, one could long press a tab and scroll up or down like in a gallery app - Vivaldi android does this neatly |
Assigned @topotropic for consideration |
@topotropic Does this need further UX investigation? |
No, doesn't require UX investigation – sounds like a valid use case. Thanks for raising it. Let's add the option to open all pages that are part of a bookmark folder to the 3-dot menu of the folder. |

What is the user problem or growth opportunity you want to see solved?
I regularly use "open all" for bookmarks folders on Desktop and want to use that for Mobile.
How do you know that this problem exists today? Why is this important?
I've tried the context menu and the option doesn't exist.
I have sets of pages I view daily, and they are in several tabs. I also check various (loosely speaking) news sites and wikis I follow throughout the day and I open all my folders in those bookmarks up to a dozen times a day. When I am away from my desktop this becomes much harder.
The options are Collections (which keeps old versions of the pages so each page needs to be manually refreshed after opening) and Bookmarks (but it is necessary to navigate through the whole menu to open each page.
Who will benefit from it?
Anyone who regularly reads sets of pages.
