When adding a violin section to an orchestra's score (or when creating a score based on an existing orchestra template), I suggest using Roman numbering instead of Arabic (for example, Violins Ⅰ, Violin Ⅱ (solo), etc.)
Problem to be solved
By common convention, Arabic numerals are used only for individual player labels. Roman numerals are used for string section labels (namely violin labels).
At the moment, you have to copy from the Internet (or from somewhere else) these very Roman numerals (we are not talking about one or two uppercase letters "I", but rather about special characters from Unicode) and then insert them into the name of the instrument.
Of course, you can use one or two letters "I", but I don't think that would be the right convention. For me, it's better to use special characters from Unicode, which are exactly what they are designed for.

There are also quite a few examples where you can see that Roman numerals can also be used for two-piano/organ/harp labels. I don't know if this is correct, but it would still be nice to come up with a design so that the user can choose between Arabic and Roman labellings for such instruments.

Perhaps in preferences? There are so many little adjustible details like this that they probably should have their own subsection, something like "engraving preferences" or "style preferences".
As for strings, I have seen it both ways, enough that having Arabic numbers for all instruments could be considered a generally accepted practice.
I personally wouldn't suggest roman numerals for strings to be the default setup...
