Cursor does not appear when picker opens

Hello,

First thank you for this beautiful pre booting graphical interface and picker. It works wonderfully with OC 0.5.8.
I noticed that when I boot into version 1.8 that the mouse cursor is not displayed until the first mouse event. Is this by design to keep the screen clear? If that is the case I respect your design decision.
Is there a setting that will detect the presence of the mouse and automatically display the cursor when detected?
