We heard a request in SA to specify a scenario by defining the area of each landcover class that should be present in a parcel.

For example,
500 sq. feet of pavement
500 sq. feet of building
250 sq feet of grass
etc.

This is easy enough to implement if the spatial distribution of the pixels within the parcel doesn't really matter. But it might matter for some models. And even if it doesn't matter to the invest model, if we are showing the resulting LULC map to the user, it will be a problem if it doesn't look how they might expect.

I also have notes of someone suggesting it'd be nice to draw ones own boundary and specify the pixels within it that way.

Lingling just tried the app and immediately requested another scenario-building feature along these same lines, expressing a desire to "change only the developed areas within a parcel" to some other LULC type, for example.

Our 3-tiered (NLCD + NLUD + Tree cover) LULC system makes this pretty complicated though.
