Environment

  • Nautobot version: 1.2.4
  • ipfabric version: 1.1.0

Proposed Functionality

Support having configuration for multiple IP Fabric chatops. That would implicate having an ability to send a command to a specific IP Fabric instance, e.g /ipfabric A get-snapshots and /ipfabric B get-snapshots.

Use Case

We have separate networks where in each we have independent IP Fabric instance. It would be very useful to have possibility to choose which IP Fabric (network) a slackbot should communicate with. With current setup we can send queries only to one network but not the other(s).

I'm not sure whether this belongs here or it is more conceptual question regarding chatops integration in general or maybe even nautobot treating and loading plugins?

Hi @david-kn
I think this would be beneficial for all ChatOps plugins. Let me check what can be done on this.

This is currently under discussion for the whole chatops framework: #122
