# create initial, see https://pages.github.com

1. create a repo nbcrrolls.gikthub.io on git
2. clone the repo and initialize with jekyll

   git clone https://github.com/nbcrrolls/nbcrrolls.github.io
   cd nbcrrolls.github.io/
   jekyll new .

3. edit a few files to set defauls (site, name, email, minimal)
4. update
   git add .
   git commit 
   git push

5. install  additional gems (needed to importing form wordpress)
   as root:
   gem install unidecode sequel mysql2 htmlentities

   Failed to install mysql2, to remedy do:
   - add missing config.h file
        pushd \
		/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/\
		Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.11.sdk/System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/2.0/usr/include/ruby-2.0.0/ruby
		ls -l ls universal-darwin15/ruby/config.h universal-darwin15/ruby/config.h
   - install xcode ocommand line tools ( the window pop-ups, confirm)
        xcode-select --install
   - install brew (as user)
        ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
   - install mysql (as user)
        brew install mysql
   - install mysql 
        gem install mysql
	    gem install mysql2


6. to enable search
   ln -s /usr/local/MacGPG2/lib/liblzma.5.dylib /usr/local/lib/liblzma.dylib
   gem install jekyll-lunr-js-search
   curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/olivernn/lunr.js/master/lunr.min.js
   curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/olivernn/lunr.js/master/lunr.min.js -o lunr.min.js
   create js/search.js (copy from http://rayhightower.com/blog/2016/01/04/how-to-make-lunrjs-jekyll-work-together/)
   create /search_data.json (copy from http://rayhightower.com/blog/2016/01/04/how-to-make-lunrjs-jekyll-work-together/)
   create search.html page
