Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

There are no binary packages in the release for macOS running on Apple Silicon.

Describe the solution you'd like

Provide the binary packages for macOS running on Apple Silicon via CI running on M1/M2.

Describe alternatives you've considered

  • Use aarch64 for Linux, but this does not work.
  • Cross compiling

There's no Apple Silicon GitHub Actions builtin runners yet.
