At the moment, when a subject is selected via the scatterplot, the keyboard shortcuts such as space, and f don't work.
Actually, when space is pressed, the actual variable in the scatterplot is being selected and the variable popup opens...

Suggestion: After a point has been selected, set the focus again on the main window
