How to Contribute

Adding an Entry

For Windows

Open the command prompt Clone the repo by this command

git clone https://github.com/neuropark/bengali-dataset.git

Go inside the directory by this command

cd bengali-dataset

Run this command install the dependencies

pip install -r requirments.txt

Open config folder and you will be able to see a mail.json file. Open the file in notepad and you will be able to see something like this

Edit the file and enter your real email id for verification. After doing this your email.json will look something like this

Now save that file and go to the next step.

Open entries.txt file in notepad and insert your entries

Before adding entries you must have to follow this rules

  • Don't spam in the dataset, we are keeping records of email.
  • Make sure the entries you are choosing contains atleast 5 sentences
  • Don't press enter inside a particular entry. Each line must contain exactly one entry. After finishing one specific entry press enter and paste another entry in that next line.
  • Don't repeat your entries.
  • Broken characters, inappropriate encoding of bengali words are not allowed.

After doing these save the dataset and go to the next step.

Here is a demo of entries.txt file containing 3 entries (Don't put these demo sentences into the dataset)

আরও শব্দমালা সে শুনতে পায়। কীটপতঙ্গের আওয়াজ তো আছেই। রাতে পাখিরা বিল থেকে উড়ে যায়—তার পাখার শব্দ এবং ভরা বর্ষার সময় বলে চারপাশের জলমগ্ন জায়গায় শাপলা শালুকের সবুজ পাতায় টিট্রিভ পাখিদের বিচরণ—তার কলরবও কানে আসে। বাড়ির দক্ষিণে সদর পুকুর, চারপাশে চালতাগাছের ছায়া। দুটো খেজুরগাছ এবং ছোটো বিশাল শিমূল গাছও আছে। বাড়ির পিছনে মোত্রাঘাসের জঙ্গল। ডাহুক পাখিরাও গভীর রাতে মারামারি শুরু করে দিলে কোলাহল ওঠে। বর্ষায় জলে জঙ্গলে দেশটা ভেসে থাকে।

তাছাড়া বাড়িটা তাদের খুবই ছিমছাম। দক্ষিণের ঘর পার হলেই বাইরের উঠোন, বিকেলে সেও দাদাদের সঙ্গে নেট টানিয়ে ব্যাডমিন্টন খেলে। জ্যাঠামশাই ঘোড়ায় চড়ে তখন রোগীর বাড়ি থেকে ফেরেন। জ্যাঠামশায়ের ডিসপেনসারি ঘরের মেঝে শান বাঁধানো। বড়ো বড়ো বয়েম। উদখল আরও বড়ো। নিমাইদা এ-বাড়িতে এসেছে কবিরাজি শিখতে। দেশ ভাগ হয়ে যাওয়ায় বন্যার জলের মতো রিফুজিতে ভেসে যাচ্ছে দেশটা। কমলবউ রিফুজি মেয়ে সে জানে। ভালো নাম কমললতা। নাকে নথ করিয়ে দিয়েই যতীন দাস তাকে বাড়িতে তুলে এনেছে।

সেদিন জ্যাঠামশাই সবে রোগীর বাড়ি থেকে ফিরে এসেছেন। জনার্দন কাকা তাঁর ঘোড়া নিয়ে আস্তাবলে বেঁধে দিচ্ছে। তিনি স্নানটান সেরে বৈঠখখানায় বসে নিমাইদাকে ডেকে কী একটা ফর্দ ধরিয়ে দিয়েছেন। বাসলেহর ওষুধের দরকার। বর্ষাকাল, সর্দিজ্বরের প্রকোপ বেড়েছে, ওষুধটি না হলে চলে না। তখনই বাবা গিয়ে নালিশ দিলেন, আর তো ও ঘরে থাকা যাচ্ছে না।
