Not possible to clear "Recently contacted" or delete contacts within it

The "Recently Contacted" Address Book is not erasable by the user if the Contacts Interactions app is enabled at the server-level.

It would be useful to give this possibility to the user.

Do you mean the entries in the Address Book? Or the Address Book itself?

If anything, users should be able to turn the feature on/off. If we let the delete the address book then there wouldn't be a way to get it back.

Right now the AB is read-only by design. The code lives in https://github.com/nextcloud/server/tree/master/apps/contactsinteraction and is independent of this app.

@ChristophWurst How does the current behavior fit with the GDPR? Shouldn't the user be able to have full control over his data at any time and also be able to delete it?

Maybe it also makes sense to add an user option to disable the recently contacted feature.

Since it was recently fixed that "recently contacted" creates duplicates (see nextcloud/server#31606 ) it would indeed make sense to have the opportunity to clear this. Right now people still have the old data in there and for existing accounts it is as if the bug was never fixed.
