Add possibility to rename/add description to attached files #1591
Comments
Do you mean you want the attached file to have the option of being labelled differently (at the attachment level) or the file itself renamed in storage? NB for clarity, considering the scenario where the attached file is from the Nextcloud Files app, and the user who wants to change the label/name only has read-only rights to the stored file. |
I didn't think about files that are added from nextcloud itself... |
I just tried to use a file from Nextcloud itself. |
Adding files from Nextcloud is on the route map, with IIRC a dependency on upstream functionality. See #564 for more info. But although not yet available, would need to be considered for the idea of renaming files attached to a card. Maybe a better solution would be the ability to describe the attached file, like a one liner under the attached file. |
Thank you for the information, would be really a nice feature. A one line description would also be sufficient (if it is not in conflict/kind of duplicate with the idea of the comments of the usual nextcloud files) |
I really appreciate and like the deck app. One little thing that may also be useful to others:
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
At the moment the uploaded file has the name of the file (as expectable). It would be nice to be able to later change the filename to have a more meaningful one.
