[Bug]: Nextcloud desktop asks me: Remove all files? #7649

Bug description

Nextcloud Desktop thinks that a large number of files in my local Nextcloud folder has been deleted. This is not the case (as far as I can see).

I get this scary question:

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start Nextcloud Desktop
  2. The icon indicates that synchronizing is paused
  3. Click sync now

Expected behavior

Nextcloud synchronizes normally, without deleting any files.

Fecora 41

30.0.4

Nextcloud Desktop Client version

3.14.2-2.fc41

Is this bug present after an update or on a fresh install?

Updated from a minor version (ex. 3.4.2 to 3.4.4)

Are you using the Nextcloud Server Encryption module?

Encryption is Disabled

I am sorry for the scare 🙈
The dialog has been disabled in the latest release 3.15. Please upgrade.
You may also try adding the following to the [General] section in the config file:
promptDeleteAllFiles=false
It should then disable the dialog.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I'm a bit reluctant to disable the promptDeleteAllFiles prompt, because I would definitely like to be warned if this would happen.

Is it a bug that the prompt is triggered incorrectly? Is that a known bug? Can I somehow figure out which files will be deleted?

I looked the following up, and copy the links here in case someone reads this issue:
