Important: ensure that when it applies, changes are also reflected on the mobile apps

To do

General

• Tab title should include note name like: "Note name - Notes - Nextcloud" #1441
• Switch naming from "categories" to "folders" #1445
  • Ensure this is also done on mobile

Left navigation

• Little scrollbar in navigation just for "New note" button Layout issues with NC 30.0.1 #1395
• Remove categories section in sidebar if no categories exist #1440
• Add ability to remove categories. Action menu to the right in each entry in the navigation, just like for Contacts
• Similar ability to rename categories as well, via an action menu
• "Favorites" entry in the navigation for quick filtering
  • Toggle sometime disappears. To reproduce: reduce window width to toggle mobile view and make wide again

Middle column / Notes list

• "Favorites" heading as the first thing, like "Today" #1443

• If not category is set on a note, don’t say "Uncategorized" but "Set category" #1444

• Set category: move into a dialog #1442

• Use component with a subline for the notes

  • Also show category, if the note does have a category. Could be done similarly like tags in Mail Display a note's category on desktop web UI #1416

• Category/folder changes shouldn’t affect "last edited" #1446

• Use first line of note as default title again instead of "New note", like Apple Notes

  

Details / Note display

• vertically align toolbar with input and "new note" button #1439

Settings

• Keyboard shortcuts rendered like in Talk (key-like look) #1437
• Horizontal scrolling shouldn't be there #1438
