Steps to reproduce

  1. Log in as admin
  2. Go to personal preferences
  3. Type in a different email address
  4. Go to a different page
  5. Go back to personal preferences

Expected behaviour

  1. There should be visual confirmation that the address has changed
  2. The change should stick

Actual behaviour

Nothing happens. Confirmed when moving away and coming back

Seems any change sends the same error to the browser, so probably related to #951

GitMate.io thinks possibly related issues are #10333 (Admin can not change user password), #2568 (user can't change language in personal settings), #1874 (Changing password doesn't work for non-admin users), #5399 (Group admin cannot change settings in user management), and #2743 (Personal Settings - User cannot change language. Missing file.).

Does this error still occur? If so please edit your post and update the issue template. It's much easier to reproduce a problem with the issue template. Can you describe the new email address a bit? Is it a valid email?
