I have the same problem. The problem is more a load problem. Change settings to display debug level gives log entries, but only for the last approx 25 minutes. Scrolling down has no effect, it just stopps at the end, where NC 13 reloaded older entries from the log.
With NC14, 14.0.1RC1 and 14.0.1. Firefox, Raspberry Stretch, EFF Privacy Badger.
