Would be good to have a quota on number of files per user or groups.
This should avoid to share a folder with millions of files over external_storage or similar plugins. also the client should know the quota restrictions.

The client knows about the quota. However number of files are not really possible to be included, since the API has no knowledge about this at the given point.
