Dav services with iOS do not work #16947
Comments
@zontreck Is your password accepted and there's just no data coming through or do you already fail to authenticate? |
Unsure if authentication is even succeeding. On the phone it says it fails to add the server. However the server does not have any useful information so I had to run a dump on the request coming from the phone.

Are you using 2-factor-authentication with Nextcloud?

I'm just using the same username and password i use to login to Nextcloud. And i tried both ways to connect it to nextcloud
|
After enabling SSL on the apache server the connection worked perfectly. This appears to be limited to non-HTTPS connections |
Actually I had similar issues on my own phone just yesterday - turned out they only happened on 4G. Once I logged into my home wifi, everything worked as usual. However, I'll close this issue since we both have either a solution or it's not Nextcloud-related after all. |
This is nextcloud related. Since its not properly responding when ssl is disabled on the server. |
@wiswedel can you please at least look into this because having to obtain an ssl certificate for my home personal cloud was not optimal but I did so just to test a theory. I CANNOT get dav to work without ssl |
Duplicate of #11310
We should obviously add this information to the documentation. |

The request below starts off looking correct.. But then for some reason iOS appears to request the URL again but without the Authentication values.
