First off, thank you for your hard work on the Nextcloud Talk Desktop Client. It's a fantastic tool!
I'm writing to request a feature: publishing the Nextcloud Talk Desktop Client on Flathub. Here are a few reasons why I believe this would be beneficial:
Increased Visibility and Accessibility: Flathub has rapidly become the go-to place for many Linux users to find and install Flatpak applications. Having the Nextcloud Talk Desktop Client on Flathub would increase its visibility and make it more accessible to a larger audience.
Easier Installation for Multiple Linux Distributions: With Flatpak's cross-distribution design, users from various Linux distributions can install applications without worrying about specific package formats or dependencies.
Smooth Updates: Flathub provides a central place to push updates, ensuring users always have the latest and greatest version of the app.
Community Support: The Flathub community is robust and active. They assist developers in maintaining and updating their applications, making the process smoother and less time-consuming.
I believe that publishing Nextcloud Talk Desktop Client on Flathub will not only provide a better experience for current Linux users but also attract new users who prefer installing apps via Flathub. I'm sure many in the community, including myself, would be happy to assist with the publishing process if needed.
Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and am willing to contribute in any way I can.
Best regards,
Peter
